What the Sea to Sky is Saying about Sea to Sky Canine Training
I am so glad I made the decision to call Sea to Sky K9!
I was feeling powerless and hopeless when it came to my rambunctious two year old pup. I didn’t understand why he was behaving like a monster. Laura was amazing at understanding his character and his needs, and was able to put together plan for us to all get what we want.
Dog wanted: more stimulation and challenges, which in turn, helps his confidence. I wanted: a dog who is able to control his impulses and obey some commands, which in turn, helps me sleep at night.
I can’t believe how far we’ve come in such a short time. Laura showed me what I could expect from my dog, and that was a huge help. Thank you Laura!

I contacted Laura after having read her advice and suggestions on the Sea to Sky K9 instagram feed. Her positive reinforcement approach to working with animals showed immediate results when she first met our hyper vigilant, very shy and occasionally aggressive rescue dog. Laura was able to assess that much of our pup's anti social behaviour was fear based and she altered her interaction with the pup to help him to develop confidence. Laura provided us with a behaviour plan after our first session, which helped us develop skills that have given our dog opportunity to succeed in all his daily activities. We attended group class, with surprisingly positive results. Our rescue pup's behaviour has improved and we thank Laura for her upbeat, positive, solution focused approach to training. When we aren't able to get to drop in classes we keep our skills up to date by reading about Laura's adventures with her own canine companions on her regular instagram posts.

I can't imagine puppy life without Laura. She has been instrumental in us feeling confident as puppy parents. Her guidance and training has given us confidence in our training methods and the assurance that we are raising our dog in a way that is healthy and positive for her growth. We both grew up with dogs, but I was surprised to learn that the training behaviours our parents were taught (and taught us) are not always the most effective and helpful to raise a consistently happy and socially healthy pup. We've read books and I've listened to podcasts, but I believe she has something extra to teach even the best dog owners. Laura is not only knowledgeable about dogs and dog training, she also takes her business and her training very serious and is always well prepared and professional. She has a gift with dogs and a passion to help any pup and their owner be the best they can be. We are so fortunate to have her here in Squamish. I would recommend her to anyone who is struggling with some unwanted bahaviours, unsure if they are training their dog in the right way, or just want to communicate with or understand their dog better. Thalia and I are so grateful we found you!

We did some private and group classes with our anxious puppy Lyra. We really appreciate Laura’s approach - it was amazing to watch how well Lyra responded to her. We also really appreciated the “homework” that Laura provided after each private session - a summary of skills and techniques to on. We plan to do more private classes, and would strongly recommend Laura to others!

We went to our first training class last night with Laura after attending a couple of the fun "human" social events at A-Frame and I can't believe how much we learned! Laura is so calm and gracious and really gives you the space to learn but also knows when to step in and help. I know our dog Happy was quite overwhelmed by this new format of learning and Laura encouraged us to take breaks with belly rubs to allow him to reset. I highly recommend bringing your pup in for a class to see how much you both can learn! Thanks, Laura!

Laura has been super helpful with our little monster Sneaky Pete! With her help, we've made huge progress on obedience training and with helping him de-stress around strangers and other high-excitement distractions. She continues to offer support and the occasional "reactive dog" group walks are awesome. Thanks Laura!

Laura helped our sweet rescue pup Huey so much. He had a few aggression issues especially with food and she helped us control that and helped us communicate with our dog better. I can not recommend her training enough

I love Laura's positive training methods and have seen great improvement in my dogs reactivity with other dogs since we started using her.

Laura works just as much with the owner as the dog. She presents as calm and knowledgeable in all aspects of canine behaviour and has been a huge support for my duck toll retriever pup and myself.
I continue to learn through her puppy classes at the Garibaldi vet clinic, Bosleys, and though 1-1 sessions. Specifically, appropriate dog play, increasing my pups exposure to different environments and helping my pup build independence including crate and mat training
So glad to have her in the Sea to Sky Corridor and looking forward to the next training steps!
